Facebook is teh shizznit

It's just really been so cool to find friends from my distant and VERY distant past that I'd all but forgotten about. And yes, even a couple of family members who fell off the earth or so it seemed. This site actually makes a lot of sense to someone like me. Ahem, "someone like me": vagrant, homeless, wanderer, drifter, traveler, wayfarer. etc.

I would like to challenge anyone of you who finds the notion of a cyber social network to be cheesy and lame to offer me a simpler, more concise and straightforward means of keeping in touch with friends and family that span... 1... 2... 3... wait 4...NO, 5 CONTINENTS and I can't even count how many countries. My immediate family alone is situated in Seattle, San Francisco, Iceland, France, Switzerland, England, Australia, Zimbabwe. Tough to keep track!

So yeah, maybe if you never left the state you were born in. If you never had a friend with a different nationality than you. Perhaps I can see how very loser-ish you might be if your social life revolved around a website. But to the many who have left homes and family, by personal choice or perhaps by the actions of an evil dictatorial government [ie Robert Mugabe], this is just a means to share with friends and loved ones, a relationship that might have otherwise been lost.

If you don't make an effort to keep up with friends - and talking only when you need something doesn't count - then it all just fades away. It really does. But you know, I have also come to learn that in time it doesn't matter how good a friend you thought you had, or how well you thought you knew a person. The only ones who will be there for you through thick and thin all the way till the end is your family. Nobody else gives a real shit anyway.

I can has facebook?

Facebook... I has it!

After a year in therapy, my psychiatrist said to me, 'Maybe life isn't for everyone.'

The weather has been unusually cool lately. I thought we were supposed to be freaking out about global warming... I'm almost saying bring on pollution and toxins - if it's gonna help make my summer comfortable, bring it on! =) ..... pause..... NOT! Or maybe ... *ponders*... why not!?.... ok .... NOT! lol. Alrighty, moving along.

The B-Meister got a promotion and last night we celebrated at the lovely Tapa the World here in midtown. (pics were taken which I will post at my most nextest convenience) I love that place, it's all traditional Spanish cuisine and tasty goodness. I actually managed to make it a bit of a surprise celebration and called all his friends without him knowing to meet us there at 6:30 - success! He was uber touched and we all had that same feeling you get when looking at cuteoverload.com. So yes, I think I scored some brownie points as all his feeling touched led to me being touched and since we both were busy feeling so touched we figured, hey maybe we should be touching! HA! That was a good one! :)

Townhouse

There's a new-old divey club-bar-thing that just resurrected from the ashes of a very dead Sacramento night life scene called Townhouse. Let some Friday night debauchery begin.

6 months?!? unofficially 8!?!?

Time doth fly!

This is not a "ohh it's our 6 month anniversaryyyyyyy" post, cuz believe it or not I am not gay like that. And besides, today is in fact not any special day, just Friday. :)
Anniversaries shmanaversaries. What's a day? I remember one of the only times I tried to celebrate, I thought it was expected - we both did I suppose. We both fell asleep! (lol, remember that Migz?)

I like to think that everyday is an anniversary!! :) Every time I see my boo after a long day at work feels like a celebration. (a glass of wine and some PG-13 make outs usually follow, quite

regularly - teehee) Then it's probably off for a relaxing bike ride around the town. Oh yes! I got a new bike, an awesome bike, a stunna bike, the type of bike that's so sleek and fabulous it gives other bikes complexes... eh. I will have to take some pics! What better a way to enjoy a summer evening than cruising tha citay with a breeze blowing in your face and your cares behind you somewhere - elsewhere.

So now, YOU! Get off the internet, turn off your computer and go give your hunny s big kiss and a hug - make sure they know you are crazy about them! :) Cuz hey, you never know what tomorrow may bring.

you know you're no longer a blogger...

when your own blog's URL is no longer saved in the cache on your own computer. All I have are little-thots.com, lavaginaworld.blogspot (heehee, honestly I always miss-read it that way) and beuribek.blogspot - but yes no insigndlfljsd-esfsjdkhfjs.blogspot... it's 2 million degrees outside, can't type!

So I've decided to peep my head out into the cold, darkness of the abyss that is cyberspace and see if I have anything at all to live for anymore. Kiddang! Course there's stuff to live for, just not so much on the internet. I was talking to Danny the other day about this and I figured out I think I just prefer good ol' fashioned conversation face to face, with a beer or two, telling odd stories, laughing about time's past and scheming our tactics for world domination. Gosh, I've got so many now and nobody to tell them to! Well, there's a few coolcats 'ere and there.... but but but but BUUUT. Hey it's 2 million degrees outside! I'm allowed to be whiney with everyone else.

So it's 2 million degrees outside. tOO mil-lee-on, I sheizer you not! And our AC is that many years old presently which makes it just plain old spoiled-american-nasty. Kinda reminds me of the good ol' days in MTY when it was 120 and humid and we were oh so frugal that we tried our best to get by with using the AC. Instead, we'd wet towels or sheets, get drenched in the shower, run to our bed by the fan and pray we fall asleep before we dried off. Normally the process was repeated 2 or 3 times before finally fatigue would settle in and we'd dream of a better life in igloos or some such fiddle-faddle. Yeeees, those were the days. How it was survived and continues to be survived by my successors baffles me, but kudos to them. *starts a wave*

Forgot about this

Me looking cheesy as I pose with one of the R2D2 mailboxes downtown. I guess Starwars is celebrating its 30th anniversary, thus fancy shmancy mailboxes. I think it's rather spiffy if I do say so myself.

This song takes me back

And I would like to dedicate to crazy times with Angie Luna. Love you girl and miss you! Perhaps we will be able to relive our Karaoke days of glory one day soon.

Weather Alerts n Such

Tonight we have a Tornado warning/alert/watch/what-have-you. A first for me! I've never been close enough to anywhere that would have one. It's thundering and lightening-ing... kinda exciting and thrilling. I like crazy weather at night, though I suppose if anything really serious developed I might change my mind. But for now I am pretty content listening to the rain beating down hard and the rumblings in the distance, with 4 furry felines up on the bed with me. My mom and Domi have a little bit of a problem collecting cats. ;) But they are soooooooooo sweet and beautiful!! I've had one sleeping at my feet most nights so I'm getting pretty attached.

Oh well, this is my last night and if I survive it (hehe) I'll be back in Sac this time tomorrow. YAAY! I love these guys a ton, but I am excited to be going home. Missing a certain someone... sniff sniff :( It's good tho, absence is making the heart grow waaay fonder and I'm just happy I have something so great to look forward to.

Bedtime for me kiddos!

Goodnight and sweetdreams
